About Nicolas

Nicolas Emmanuel Clerc was born in 2004 and is an aspiring wildlife photographer from Switzerland. He was born in New Jersey, United States, and lived most of his life in Denmark. During summer vacations, Nicolas would often visit relatives in Switzerland; spending most of his time in Switzerland exploring the pre-alps in the Gantrisch National Park. His fascination in wildlife began at a very early age and only strengthened as he grew. He grew up watching documentaries from National Geographic, BBC and Animal Planet which influenced much of his later life.

At first, he only spent his summers observing wildlife from afar, using phone cameras to try and capture the moment. As he grew up, he became exposed to the world of wildlife photography and filmmaking. In 2018, he picked up his first camera a Canon 400D with a 50mm lens and began trying to take photographs of wildlife. He currently uses a sigma 150-600mm lens and a canon 7D mark ii body, with this equipment he travels the world and photographs any wildlife he can find.
